PepsiCo X PNP – Tackling Scope 3 GHG reduction

The goal of this event was to invite people with decision making power across multiple different industries (Abbott, AON, Colgate Palmolive, Citizens Bank, Cargill, etc.) not just food and beverage, to talk about what are the Scope 3 GHG Emission challenges that various industries are facing and find some common themes, and ultimately how could we join together to begin to tackle some of those challenges to really drive broad impact.

PepsiCo X NSF SPEED Program – Building a sustainable future, together

This solicitation stems from a collaboration initiated at the UIDP workshop, sponsored by the NSF Chemistry Directorate. The University-Industry Demonstration Partnership (UIDP) brought together industry and academic institutions to form the Molecular Foundations for Sustainability: Sustainable Polymers Enabled by Emerging Data Analytics (MFS-SPEED) group. The workshop focused on developing research strategies to accelerate the elimination of plastic waste.

PepsiCo X Aquacycl – Reducing costs, treating our wastewater and reducing GHG emissions

In 2020, PepsiCo’s External Innovation team identified Aquacycl's Bio-Electrochemical Treatment Technology (BETT^®), which provides the Biochemical Treatment Technology for onsite wastewater management, as a promising solution. The water management R&D team in partnership with Aquacycl installed their Bio Electrochemical Treatment Technology (BETT) which processes wastewater within regulations while reducing greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90%.
